Find your external IP address with Google

You can use Google to quickly find your external IP address*. Simply enter “ip” as your search term in Google. You’ll receive something like this:

Note: The IP has been changed to protect the innocent.

Your public IP address is the address that is seen by servers on the Internet.  In most home / small office networking scenarios, the external IP address is actually assigned to your router and is used by all computers on the internal network when accessing the outside world.
